React Developer

Job Description

OperAxis is partnering with a leading global financial services organization to identify a React Developer for a fully onsite contract role in Jersey City, New Jersey. This is a frontend heavy position, approximately 70 percent React and TypeScript work and 30 percent Java backend support, suited to a developer who will own UI components and state management while contributing to lighter backend tasks. This is a W2 contract position, C2C is not available. Candidates must be local to the Jersey City area, available for an onsite interview, and authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship (U.S. Citizen, Green Card holder, or TN visa eligible for Canadian applicants).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive, high performance user interfaces using React and TypeScript
• Implement modern frontend patterns, component libraries, and state management solutions
• Consume and integrate RESTful APIs, perform light backend work in Java when required
• Deploy frontend assets and support cloud native workflows on AWS
• Collaborate closely with designers and backend teams in an Agile environment
• Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews and quality processes
• Ensure accessibility, performance, and security standards are met for financial applications
