Senior Software Engineer (Java Full Stack)
Job Description
OperAxis is hiring a Senior Software Engineer (Java Full Stack) for a Payments / FinTech client. You'll improve CI/CD platforms, build internal developer tooling, and lead cloud-native modernization that speeds up software delivery across teams. Duration: 13 months Requirements • Extensive experience as a senior software or full stack engineer, with strong Java • Designing scalable applications, APIs, distributed systems and cloud-native services • CI/CD and deployment automation with Jenkins, GitHub Actions or similar • Hands-on AWS and/or Azure • Docker, Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code • Building internal platforms, frameworks, libraries or developer tooling • API management, gateways, secrets management and infrastructure tooling • Technical leadership on complex, cross-team projects • Strong problem solving and communication • Preferred: Large-scale data platforms, ETL pipelines or high-volume data processing • Preferred: Additional languages such as C#, Python, Go or TypeScript • Preferred: AI-enabled engineering and workflow automation • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Drive improvements to CI/CD platforms, deployment pipelines and engineering practices
- Design and build reusable frameworks, internal platforms and developer tools
- Lead modernization around cloud-native technology, automation, AI-assisted engineering and developer experience
- Build and maintain scalable applications, APIs, services and platform capabilities
- Partner with engineering, platform, product and architecture teams on cross-functional problems
- Contribute to architecture decisions on scalability, resilience, security and maintainability
- Support DevOps and platform engineering through automation and Infrastructure as Code
- Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices
