Job Description
OperAxis is hiring a Lead Full Stack .NET Developer for a Healthcare Technology / Specialty Pharmacy Services client. You'll design and deliver complex, scalable software across the full stack, lead the adoption of AI-first development practices, and mentor engineers on products that speed up patient access to specialty therapies. The ideal candidate is a seasoned engineer and technical leader with deep .NET / C# and modern front-end experience, strong architectural instincts, and hands-on experience building AI- and LLM-powered features. Duration: 12-18+ months Requirements • 8-12 years of progressive software engineering experience, with current or recent lead experience • Strong backend development in .NET / C#, including APIs and service-oriented architecture • Strong front-end experience with Angular and/or React, with a focus on UI performance and usability • Hands-on integration of AI/ML tools and LLM APIs (such as OpenAI or Azure OpenAI) into production software, including RAG • RESTful and GraphQL APIs, microservices and event-driven systems • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP), Docker and Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code • Relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling and query optimization • CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or Jenkins • Excellent communication skills and an active LinkedIn profile • Preferred: Pharmaceutical, specialty pharmacy or healthcare technology experience • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience • Must be a U.S. citizen
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain full stack applications using .NET (C#), Angular and/or React
- Lead the adoption of AI-first development practices, including AI-assisted coding, code review, documentation and LLM-powered features
- Evaluate and integrate emerging AI tools, frameworks and LLM APIs into product and platform architecture
- Architect scalable, maintainable systems from API design and data modeling to front-end and cloud infrastructure
- Lead technical design of complex features and own multiple concurrent projects through deployment
- Set engineering standards for code quality, security and performance through code reviews and mentorship
- Partner with product, UX and business stakeholders to turn complex requirements into practical solutions
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and take part in technical screenings and hiring
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines, monitor system health, and lead incident response for production systems
