Oracle Accounting Hub & Cloud Integration SME (AHCS / OIC / ODI)
Job Description
We are seeking an Oracle Accounting Hub & Cloud Integration SME for an estimated 13-month hybrid contract-to-hire engagement in Chicago, IL with a leading financial services client. This role is open to local Chicago-area candidates only; hours are Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM CT. You will own the integration architecture and data design that feed Oracle Accounting Hub Cloud Service (AHCS) and Oracle Fusion applications, from source data ingestion and transformation through reconciliation, reporting and production support, working closely with Finance, Accounting, enterprise architecture and security teams. The ideal candidate combines deep Oracle Financials technical implementation experience with hands-on AHCS, ODI and OIC delivery and a solid understanding of accounting and reconciliation processes. Requirements • Bachelor's degree • 8+ years of Oracle Financials technical implementation experience • 5+ years of hands-on Oracle Accounting Hub Cloud Service (AHCS) technical experience • Strong Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and Oracle Cloud integration architecture skills • REST APIs, SOAP services, XML, JSON, FBDI and file-based integrations • SQL, PL/SQL and Python for data ingestion, transformation and interface development • Data modeling, reconciliation data design, error handling and performance optimization • Reporting with OTBI, BI Publisher and Financial Data Intelligence (FDI) • Preferred: Oracle Fusion ERP / Financials Cloud and General Ledger, high-volume financial transaction processing, DevOps and release management • Preferred: banking or financial services experience and knowledge of accounting, reconciliation, audit, SOX and regulatory compliance • Must be local to the Chicago, IL area for hybrid onsite work
Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end integration architecture for Oracle Accounting Hub and Oracle Fusion applications
- Lead technical design and development across ODI, OIC, REST/SOAP APIs, FBDI, SQL, PL/SQL and Python
- Define integration patterns, security standards and data exchange mechanisms between source systems and Oracle Cloud
- Build AHCS source data ingestion frameworks, source-to-target mappings and transformation logic
- Design accounting event and transaction data structures and onboard multiple source systems into Accounting Hub
- Design and optimize accounting and reconciliation data models for high-volume transaction processing
- Troubleshoot interface failures, perform root cause analysis and tune integration performance
- Support SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live and hypercare
- Build financial reports, dashboards and reconciliation and exception reports in OTBI, BI Publisher and FDI
- Produce technical design documents and interface specifications, support audit and governance, and provide knowledge transfer
