Network Engineer (Cisco ISE / Firewall Policy)
Job Description
The OperAxis team is seeking a Network Engineer for a 13-month onsite contract with a heavy equipment manufacturing client (Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm). The role is based in Irving/Dallas, TX; Nashville, TN and East Peoria, IL are also open locations. You will provide daily operational support for network and firewall policy service offerings, including network access control governance using Cisco ISE, and support network segmentation, application protection and hardware refresh initiatives. The ideal candidate combines solid cybersecurity network knowledge with advanced customer service skills and works closely with Product Owners and internal partners to resolve technical issues. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Security Engineering/Architecture, Computer Science or a related field, OR equivalent experience with 5-7 years - Working knowledge of cybersecurity network best practices - Good knowledge of firewall management and network protocols - Functional knowledge of Cisco ISE - Experience with Cisco networking, network design, control systems and validation - Advanced customer service skills Responsibilities: - Provide daily operational support for network and firewall policy service offerings - Perform network access control governance activities using Cisco ISE - Support network improvement and risk reduction initiatives, including network segmentation, application protection and hardware refresh - Perform duties related to application protection and proxy policy - Provide daily operational support and maintenance for products that deliver the team's service offerings - Work with internal process partners to resolve technical issues with firewall and cloud policy service offerings - Perform testing and QA during changes and new process deployments prior to production - Assist Product Owners in resolving technical matters and supporting firewall policy, network posture and the team's web-based portal
