Workspace One Deployment Engineer

Job Description

United Airlines is seeking a Workspace One Deployment Engineer to support enterprise endpoint management and software deployment initiatives. This role is responsible for deploying, managing, troubleshooting, and optimizing applications across a large-scale device ecosystem using Workspace One and related Microsoft technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Workspace One administration, PowerShell scripting, SCCM, automation, and endpoint deployment processes. As part of United's enterprise IT team, you will collaborate with application owners, infrastructure teams, and project stakeholders to deliver reliable software deployments, streamline operational processes, and enhance device management capabilities across the organization. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Workspace One, including at least 1 year in a production environment. Strong experience with PowerShell scripting and automation. Experience with SCCM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager). Knowledge of workstation enrollment, Smart Groups, Sensors, and deployment workflows. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications: Workspace One (VMware/Omnissa) Certification. Experience with Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Management. Additional enterprise endpoint management experience. Experience supporting large-scale software deployment environments.

Responsibilities

• Implement, monitor, and remediate enterprise software deployments, upgrades, and removals.
• Manage application deployment workflows in collaboration with application and infrastructure teams.
• Configure and maintain Smart Groups, Tags, Assignment Groups, Sensors, and Automations within Workspace One.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts and automation solutions to improve deployment efficiency.
• Generate deployment reports, metrics, and operational dashboards for stakeholders.
• Troubleshoot deployment issues involving Workspace One, Windows 10/11, WMI, and Microsoft technologies.
• Analyze system logs, diagnostic data, and device performance to identify and resolve issues.
• Support workstation enrollment, application packaging, and endpoint management activities.
• Integrate APIs and automation tools to optimize deployment processes.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure successful delivery of deployment initiatives.
