Senior Workday Functional Lead (Core HCM / Security / Recruiting)
Job Description
The OperAxis team is seeking a Senior Workday Functional Lead for a remote contract engagement. You'll serve as the primary client-facing Workday subject-matter expert, partnering with business stakeholders on requirements, best-practice recommendations, functional issue resolution and ongoing operations. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on expertise in Workday Core HCM, Workday Security and Talent/Recruiting, along with experience leading and coordinating offshore Workday teams. You'll act as the bridge between business teams and offshore delivery, keeping production support, enhancements and improvements on track. Duration: 9–12 months, contract Requirements • 6+ years of Workday experience • Hands-on expertise in Workday Core HCM, Security and Talent/Recruiting • Strong client-facing or consulting experience as a Workday SME • Experience managing or coordinating offshore teams • Strong understanding of Workday production and operational support • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (USC or Green Card holder only)
Responsibilities
- Act as Workday Functional SME for Core HCM, Security, Talent and Recruiting
- Work directly with business teams on requirements, issues and solutions
- Provide Workday best-practice recommendations and functional guidance
- Translate business requirements into effective Workday solutions
- Lead and coordinate offshore Workday teams supporting ongoing operations
- Manage operational support, including issues, enhancements and production problems
- Liaise between business teams and offshore delivery teams
- Participate in workshops, solution reviews and status meetings
- Proactively identify process and Workday improvements
