Technical Analyst

Job Description

United Airlines is seeking a Technical Analyst to join our team on a hybrid contract basis in Chicago. This role serves as the critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams — translating business requirements into technical specifications, supporting UAT and EQA, and producing clear documentation and reporting. Prior United Airlines or broader airlines/aviation industry experience is strongly preferred and will be prioritized in candidate review.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a technical support or analyst role
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Jira/Confluence
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• In-depth understanding of business processes and workflows
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
• Experience with data interpretation and reporting
• Knowledge of systems and network configurations
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
• Prior United Airlines experience strongly preferred
• Airlines / aviation industry background prioritized

Responsibilities

• Gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Liaise between technical teams and business stakeholders
• Create comprehensive reports and documentation
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technological advancements
• Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Enterprise Quality Assurance (EQA)
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across systems
• Interpret data and produce stakeholder-ready reporting
• Support Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint deliverables
