Senior Full Stack Developer

Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Full Stack Developer with strong Python and React expertise to join a high-impact team delivering globally-used trading and data platforms for a major energy client in Spring, Texas. This is a long-term W2 contract engagement requiring on-site presence. The ideal candidate brings advanced backend and frontend capabilities, thrives in fast-paced production environments, and takes full ownership of their work from design through deployment. Location is non-negotiable - candidates must be within 50 miles of Spring, TX. No relocation. No remote.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional full stack software development experience
• Advanced proficiency in Python including APIs, async programming, and data processing
• Strong hands-on experience with React for modern component-based UI development
• Hands-on experience building high-performance backend services with FastAPI
• Working knowledge of DBT for data engineering and transformation pipelines
• Solid experience with GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices
• Strong problem-solving skills with an ownership-driven mindset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be located within 50 miles of Spring, Texas
• Must be available to work fully on-site
• W2 contract only — no C2C, no 1099

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using Python and React
• Build and maintain high-performance RESTful APIs and backend services using FastAPI
• Develop modern responsive front-end interfaces using React
• Implement and manage data transformation pipelines using DBT
• Collaborate with cross-functional global teams on platform engineering initiatives
• Maintain code quality through GitHub-based version control and CI/CD pipelines
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues ensuring high system availability
• Contribute to architectural decisions for platform and data engineering
• Write clear technical documentation and communicate across distributed teams
