Python AWS Developer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Python AWS Developer to support enterprise application development initiatives within a large-scale cloud environment. The ideal candidate will work on the FareWorks project, which is being implemented on the AWS platform. This role requires strong expertise in Python development, AWS cloud technologies, containerization, CI/CD processes, and DevOps practices. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable, reliable, and cloud-native solutions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on Python development experience
• Strong experience with Python libraries including pandas and boto3
• Hands-on development experience within AWS environments
• Experience with Docker containerization
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows environments
• Experience using Git for version control
• Experience working within Agile development methodologies
• Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Dynatrace, or Datadog
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based applications and services within AWS environments
• Support the FareWorks project implementation on AWS infrastructure
• Build scalable and efficient cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services
• Develop data processing and automation scripts using pandas and boto3
• Containerize applications and services using Docker
• Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to support CI/CD implementation
• Monitor and improve application reliability, observability, and performance
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint deliverables
• Support deployment, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution
• Maintain code quality and version control best practices using Git
