Job Description
OperAxis is partnering with a leading global financial services organization to identify a Senior Java Developer for a fully onsite contract role in Houston, Texas. Relocation assistance is available. This is a senior level position with an expectation of strong system design and delivery ownership across Java, Spring, and AWS workloads. This is a W2 contract position, C2C is not available. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship (U.S. Citizen, Green Card holder, or TN visa eligible for Canadian applicants).
Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver complex backend services and microservices using Java and Spring
- Design scalable, resilient solutions on AWS cloud infrastructure
- Lead or heavily contribute to API design, integration patterns, and performance optimization
- Mentor junior developers and participate in architectural discussions
- Drive code quality, testing strategies, and production stability
- Collaborate with cross functional teams in Agile delivery cycles
- Maintain high standards of security and compliance required in financial services
