Senior UX Designer (Figma / Sketch / Prototyping)
Job Description
The OperAxis team is seeking a Senior User Experience (UX) Designer for a 12-month hybrid contract with a heavy equipment manufacturing client (8:00am-5:30pm). Candidates near Broomfield, CO are preferred; candidates in the Chicago, IL and Peoria, IL areas will also be considered. You will take digital solutions from concept to market in collaboration with stakeholders and team members, representing the voice of the customer while balancing business goals and technical constraints. The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of user experience work, strong design presentation skills and a passion for building high-quality digital products. Interest in battery, energy or electric vehicle/machine solutions is a strong plus. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience in user experience - Hands-on expertise with Figma, Sketch and Adobe tools - Strong wireframing and prototyping skills - Experience with user research, personas and journey maps - Strong design presentation skills - Preferred: knowledge of battery or charge management, energy solutions, or a passion for electric vehicles/machines - Preferred: 3D and interaction design experience - Preferred: experience in mapping and 3D imaging Responsibilities: - Use design processes (wireframes, prototypes, personas, user research, journey maps) to take digital solutions from concept to market (about 70% of the role) - Collaborate closely with stakeholders and team members throughout the design lifecycle - Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders - Represent the voice of the customer and advocate for user needs while considering business goals and technical constraints (about 15%) - Contribute to the design and definition of features and user research needs (about 15%) - Ensure high-quality design deliverables that adhere to established design standards
